Ministries of Apostles

Apostles is committed to engaging our neighbors across the street and around the world as we are led by God. Our love for our neighbor is rooted in and flows from our love for God. We believe that central to following Jesus is building relationships with and serving our neighbors.

Food & Clothes:
Closer to home we support Nathaniel Mission Market, a local food pantry and the Appalachian Mission Initiative which works to network with ministries in southeastern Kentucky to help those counties.

Several folks of our congregation are involved in mentoring programs in local schools such as 4KIDS at Morton Middle School .

Bluegrass Youth For Christ:
Bluegrass Youth for Christ at Winburn Middle School

The Alpha Course is an introduction to basic Christianity. Over 10 sessions people explore questions such as Who is Jesus? Why Did Jesus Die? Can I Trust the Bible? Does God Heal Today and How Can I Know God’s Will? Over the course of an evening usually hosted in a home, folks gather for simple but delicious meal, watch a video presentation, and then join in small group discussion. No question is out of bounds and honest conversation is welcomed. Participants find Alpha to be fun, safe, and quite engaging. The Course is offered as needed.

Art: Check out our Art page for more information about galleries!
One of the newest ministries at Apostles is focused on the Arts. Our congregation loves and encourages beauty and creativity. The God we have come to know in Jesus is the Creator God whose very world is full of wonder and beauty. With a special focus on the visual arts Apostles has installed a gallery for the exhibition of art works. We also are in partnership with Christians in the Visual Arts, CIVA, a national organization promoting art and artists in the church and to the church. Come and visit our gallery.
